Northwood 61 at Kentucky 93 Post Game Report

What have we learned by watching tonight's game?

1. Noel is a beast and will only get better and better (17 points 11 rebounds)
2. Willie Cauley-Stein is way more coordinated than Noel and he will be a great contributor
3. Ryan Harrow better toughen up, he does not move well under contact
4. Kyle Wiltjer is still slow footed on defense
5. Archie Goodwin will be our Wildcat MVP for the November and December
6. Alex Poythress can do just about anything he wants on the court
7. Our rebounding is terrible
8. We did show signs of being a great defensive team

To say its way too early is a gross understatement but this team, while not as good as last year's team, will be a real good Kentucky Wildcat team. Like I mentioned above we showed signs of being not a good defensive team but a great defensive team. We are not there yet but come January UK will be tough to handle.

We have 4 players that can drain a three at any time. That is a good sign because our perimeter defense greatly resembles our perimeter defense of last year's squad, which was not that good. We never did figure out how to peel off a screen but we made up for it. Hopefully this year's squad can do the same.

Overall it was not a bad performance.
