Hot Shooting Indiana Defeats the #1 Kentucky Wildcats

Kentucky, with the exception of the last 5 minutes, played arguably the worst game of the season in a loss to the unranked Indiana Hoosiers. Kentucky failed their first tough road test as Terrence Jones played an abysmal game with only 4 points and 1 rebound, he also turned the ball over 6 times, certainly not the type of game you would expect from your All American forward.

Kentucky had a one point lead with 5 seconds left to go but the uninspired perimeter defense continued as Indiana hit a 3 pointer at the buzzer to defeat the number one Wildcats. Indiana shot a scorching 60% on 9 for 15 shooting from the three point line and in the end Kentucky's poor perimeter defense did them in. In Kentucky's one point win over North Carolina earlier in the season the Wildcats also allowed over 60% shooting from the perimeter. Could this be the Wildcat's achilles heel? Indiana exploited Kentucky's poor perimeter defense and came away with a win. We can only hope that John Calipari can solve Kentucky's perimeter defensive woes.

Another achilles heel for the Wildcats was also exposed as Anthony Davis spent much of the game on the bench with foul trouble.
