Despite 61% Shooting for North Carolina from the Three Point Line Kentucky Wins by 1

North Carolina shot a blistering 61%, on 11 for 18 shooting, from the three point line but came up short as Anthony Davis blocked a shot in the final seconds to hold on for a one point victory. Kentucky played a smart and physical game to hold off the Tar Heels to solidify their hold on the number one ranking.
This game should show the country how talented this Kentucky team really is. Kentucky shot a dismal 23.5% from the three point line but managed to shoot 44.4% overall. Even with this abysmal display from the arc Kentucky still managed to win the game. One can wonder if North Carolina had shot their normal game from the permeter Kentucky may have achieved a lopsided victory, but a win is a win.
Kentucky won the rebounding battle 36 to 33. The point guard battle was essentially a draw as North Carolina's Kendall Marshall made 8 assists with 3 turnovers and scored 8 points. Kentucky's Marquis Teague made 4 assists with only 1 turnover with 7 points.
